Old Barfieldian Emma Taylor Returns to Share Her Debut Children's Book

This week, we were delighted to welcome back Emma Taylor, an Old Barfieldian, who returned to share her first children's book, Bella Bee – How Do You Know You Love Me?
Emma, who was taught English by Mrs Pryce (our current Head of English) and Art by Mrs Lester (our former Head of Art), has beautifully combined her love of storytelling and illustration to create this heartwarming book. Inspired by her own daughter, Isabella, Bella Bee explores the meaning of love through the eyes of its charming bee protagonist, making it a truly special read for children and families alike.
Emma captivated our nursery pupils during her visit by reading her book, which included props to keep their young minds engaged. It was wonderful to see how her passion for writing and art, nurtured here at Barfield, has flourished into this delightful story.
We loved having Emma back with us and celebrating her achievement. Her journey is a fantastic example of how creativity and perseverance can lead to something truly special. We hope her visit has inspired our young Barfieldians to follow their passions—perhaps one day, they will return with their own stories!
