This unique opportunity allowed the children to go behind the scenes at the SES Water Treatment Works, where they learned how water is made safe to drink. They also had the chance to climb the huge dam, walk through the tunnel right under the reservoir and see close-up how they clean and distribute 160 million litres of fresh drinking water, every single day.

In the Blue Zone, they participated in interactive activities and games that taught them about the water treatment process and the importance of conserving water! This immersive experience provided a fantastic way for them to grasp key science concepts firsthand. What a wonderful opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-life experiences!
