The Five Senses

The children in Owls used their senses to explore their beautiful environment

Textures such as "sticky jelly", "sloppy spaghetti" and "cold baked beans" were described with delight by some of our lovely inquisitive Owls! Drumming sticks on natural found objects in Forest Schools helped the children to distinguish and explore the different sounds around them. The children brought in many different scents to explore and create 'scent bags'! Some children even participated in a science colour experiment using pipettes and food colourings to explore 'sight' while others enjoyed a food tasting experiment which involved "yummy chocolate buttons!" What a fantastic time we all had using our five senses!
