We met our pen pals this morning at the College Notre Dame in Thury Harcourt. Initially, the children were quite shy but soon they were mixing well and trying out their French. After a lunch of spaghetti bolognaise, we got back on the bus to visit the Memorial Museum at Caen. It was incredibly moving and the children learned a lot about World War II. An exhausting yet thrilling day.
