Wasps Are Exterminated!

Year 5 watch a wasp exterminator take down a wasps nest.

Ben, Kit, Anya and William wrote this review:
"He told us how the wasps make their nest and how old it is. He told us that it was made in about the middle of May and was the size of a tennis ball. Here is what we now know:
Wasps make nests out of wood from fences.
Different types of wood give different colours.
The queen lays the eggs in cells (hollows in the nest).
Wasps start off as grubs, and when they are fully developed
they hatch. It was very interesting."
Thank you Year 5, let's hope we don't find any more nests around the school!
